THE OG is a blending of culture and style throwbacks and nostlagia molded; shaped; and repackaged for today’s market. THE OG meets both worlds head-on, historic and urban Delray Beach and its evolution into an Arts and Entertainment district for the masses. Old ideas of neighborhood bars and local markets are still relevant to many Floridians, so we don’t discount them. Instead we pay homage to that imagined person that governs the neighborhood from their yard; offering advice and dropping knowledge. The OG is a fictional character in spirit and is personified in the retail and apparel we create, a future lifestyle brand that doesn’t just claim to be Local as the trend is, but says we were here FIRST and the old way doesn’t go away.
On the other hand of course THE OG is quite literal for our other demographic. It’s a basic acronym; it’s an OLD GROCER-Y, OUR GROGS, and evetually OUR GARDEN; and THE OUTSIDE GARDEN..we welcome debate never truly responding to which is correct. We will feel decidedly different and entirely unique, but we won’t push the age of the venue, so that we’re forever attached to that generation – we’ll remain timeless like a capsule which preserves the best parts of the past and combines them with their appropriate counterparts today.
THE OG is entirely and intentionally impossible to judge and undeniably on trend, a concept that is a perfect example of the next evolution of bar experiences.
Above all we will be tirelessly cool – effortlessly hip and a stand alone in a saturated South Florida market using the same buzz words and following the same tired recipes for momentary success.
